PRIVACY & GENETIC DATA
Principles for handling enquiries, bookings, specimens and genetic information.
Only the minimum information needed for a general enquiry should be collected. Do not send detailed medical records, test reports, identity documents or genetic information by ordinary email unless the purpose, recipient, retention and secure submission method have been confirmed.

Genetic information may also be relevant to biological relatives. Before testing, confirm specimen collection, shipping, analysis, retention, destruction, secondary use and result handling in specific written documents.
Before proceeding, ask your provider to explain transfer of specimens and personal information to Taiwan, the recipient, purpose, Taiwan's personal-information protection system and the recipient's safeguards, retention and deletion terms, and any subcontracting. This does not establish that all data is stored in Taiwan. Required consent and other arrangements must be confirmed first.
Contact service@shingihou.com to request access, correction, addition, deletion or restriction. Requests are handled after identity verification and subject to applicable law and contracts.
